We are conducting this study to collect data from members of the LGBTQ+ communities that will help inform advocacy approaches, institutional/organisational decision making, and policy/legislative reform agendas. We hope to gain invaluable insight by using a unique study design that will investigate the experiences of LGBTQ+ identified individuals, advocates/activists, and LGBTQ+ led organisations. With limited data on how our communities have been affected, we hope the findings can be used to meaningfully inform action that can improve our various communities’ lived experiences.
Upon request, topics relating to the experiences of intersex people were not included in this survey since representatives of intersex-led organisations have agreed to pursue their own research initiatives separately. However, this does not mean that intersex people cannot respond to this survey. We are happy to receive responses from intersex identified respondents, who may choose to self identify in their survey responses.
This survey has been designed to collect data from individuals, independent activists/advocates, and representatives of groups/organisations led by LGBTQ+ people. Independent advocates/activists and representatives of groups/organisations are welcome to respond to questions from all three sections or from sections two (2) and three (3) only.
